They are legit and good people, but they aren't selling their LX series anymore due to the amount of support required from people that didn't know how to use a serial port or something like that. I just ordered my first parts to build one myself. It's basically the same thing you'll build on your own, plus you get choice of colors, wireless cards and things like that. It's cool.

This tutorial is still valid if you want to build your own pfSense router with an ALIX board. I just followed these instructions after I bought an ALIX board from ebay. Installed pfSense 1.2.3, and shortly after that I upgraded pfSense to version 2.0.

BTW, my ALIX board BIOS was already at the recommended version 0.99h, but I had to check any way.

Thanks for this very useful post.

Hi there, just wanted to let all UK users of Secure Flash drives know that LOK-IT is now available in the UK.

The product is now a 10 Key device in Black, with a hardened aluminium shell and epoxy filed. The LOK-IT Secure Flash drive is also FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Certified (the highest level a flash drive can be).

If you want to have a look at the site visit - www.lok-it.co.uk - also we are running a Monthly FREE Prize draw to win one of these little beauties.

All the best

I have been using them for a year and a half now, never had an issue but for one when the order didnt show up, refund was given.
Never charged or over charged for anything, maybe some people need to read the boxes they click on.
Have to say very shocked to find these blogs about VP, maybe I am a lucky guy? but then again I am not really lucky lol
Anyway thought to add this as all the people with bad dealing with VP are posting so thought only fair that People with good Dealing with VP also post.

This is insane! I ordered as most of u some business cards from vistaprint, the total amount was less than $50. I just made the order. When the confirmation email came, the total amount was smth less than 100$!!!! I have never seen or heard such a total fraud. this is reaching insanity! I guess they would b also charge me even more each month for stuff i never wanted....People be aware on where u give your infos and card numbers. it seems its full of scammers out there and obviously they are way smarter than the system. thats why their business is still on.

I have just bought the new Lok-it 10 PIN device in the uk from www.lok-it.co.uk (think it is on Amazon (UK) as well. It is made of aluminium (not plastic) and is very robust.

I Agree with all the positive comments about Lok-it above and yes you should review the latest version.

What was not mentioned is that this device can be used on any device that has a USB port (because Lok-it is unlocked before you put the device into your chosen machine). This cannot be said about other secure USB's as they all need to be put into a PC and a password input via keyboard and screen .

So can be used on PC's / MACs (obviously) and scanners, printers, TVs and DVRs etc.. I read somewhere that the Lok-it will also work with the new breed of Smartphones.

My advice - if you need a secure drive there is only one choice - LOK-IT

All the best from the UK.

I also find NLP to be very interesting stuff.

Not only is a powerful discipline to read others, but also to better understand how you occur to others so you can become more effective in communications in terms of both the body language and verbal.

I agree with Owen. we have a few Dell Optiplex desktops that are our test Xen Servers. Been tring to upgrade them from XenServer v5.5 to v5.6.1 fp1 and couldn't becusae of an error during the install. Somthnig about repository not found.

The dvd drives in these desktop are sliml ones similar to the type that fit into laptops.

Anyway the solution was to attach another dvd drive (it was a dvd r/w) and the installed worked fine.

P.S. On item 2, I meant to add that with Lock-IT, yanking the device out of the USB port is the intended design for locking the device. So, the user doesn't have to conciously remember to do some "shutdown" procedure on the device to avoid losing data.

I can't honestly say that IK requires the "shutdown", but having lost 2 IK to the user yanking them out without locking, I'd say it's a safer bet.
